Part 1: How to grow your social media

Welcome to Part 1 in this 3 part mini series – How to growing your Social Media.


The question I get asked most often from potential Personal Assistant (or PA) clients is…..I need help. How can I grow my social media?  As an online entrepreneur, we have all been there done that.  The struggle is real. You have all the ideas, get them created and out into the world and CRICKETS. And this can be devasting and down right defeating.  Social media is a MUST have for online entrepreneurs, bloggers, and MLM leaders.  Social Media is how you direct traffic to your service, product, or offering.  So how in the world can you get more eyes on YOUR stuff? 
I promise you that there is no magic fairy dust or in depth blueprint that is going to get you there. There are three simple yet KEY things you need to know. I am certain you have heard some or all of these things before.  But I am going to break it down into real truth talk for you to help you actually implement them.  So let’s get started with  Part 1 of the series:
 
Today will are going to talk about KNOWING YOU!  This is sort of a broad phrase.  I struggled with how to word the sentence because we are going to talk about several different things that all fall under this.   Before you can “sell” anything to anyone else, you must first know:

  • Who are you? (what is your mission, what do you stand for?) It is so very important to know who you are/ what your brand is.  And please remember, YOU are your brand not your MLM and not your product. So are YOU? What are you about? It isn’t enough to say “Hi, I am Susie and I am a health coach.” A health coach of what? To who?  This is the groundwork you MUST do before you get started.  You cant just repeat the same lines, posts and pitches that your upline does, or the guru that you follow.  Your audience has to get to know like and trust you.  I know you have heard this.  But do they really know you? Look at your social media feed.  Is it all reposts or copy/paste stuff from your upline? Or is it you, the real you? Stand out from the crowds. There is only on YOU.  You are unique and the world is waiting for what you have to offer.
 
  • What are you offering/niche? So let’s say you are a health and fitness coach.  Your offer is workouts and meal plans as well as you are with an MLM selling health products.  But who are you offering it to?  When you post, are you talking to anyone and everyone who will listen? That is coming from a place of desperation instead of inspiration.  You are not following your passion, you are simply trying to make a sale.  That is going to show up in your posts.  You cannot sell/talk to everyone! If you try to talk to everyone you are talking to NO ONE! I know what you are thinking…..I have to get my stuff out there to everyone in order to make sales.  I need the money.  That makes you look like you are all over the place.  You MUST narrow down your offering to target a specific audience.  I have included a freebie with today’s video.  It is an Ideal Client worksheet from the monthly Brand Society membership.  Print it out and use it.  You need to get to know who you are selling to.  Who are you helping? Where do they hang out?  And most importantly, what problem do you solve for them? I am a Personal Assistant.  That can encompass so very much.  I can pretty much do all the things.  I could sale to anyone and everyone that would have me.  BUT, I narrowed down my offering.  I target Women Online Entrepreneurs.  They are usually between the ages of 25-40 living in the USA.  While I can do anything they need, I specialize in the techie back end of things.  Does that mean I am leaving money on the table by not targeting EVERYONE? No.  It means I am becoming an expert in my niche by focusing on one set target audience and area.  Does that mean I wouldn’t work with men?  No.  I have several male clients that I have worked with.  But that isn’t who I am targeting when I offer my services and posts.

  • What problem do you solve for your ideal client?  Again, KNOW your ideal client.  She has a problem in her life that only you can solve.  What is that? What is her problem and how can YOU solve it? As a PA, I help online entrepreneurs work smarter not harder.  BUT how do I do that? How does that help my client? My ideal client is an woman and Online entrepreneur.  So most likely, her day is crazy!  Especially if she is a mom.  As an Online Entrepreneur and a mom, we wear many hats.  You spend all day trying to catch up on emails, follow ups, copywriting, making the social media posts, drafting that newletter, etc. and before you know it they day is gone and you didn’t even get to do what your passionate about, you didn’t even connect with your clients and you weren’t able to get to any money making activities.  That is the problem I solve.  As a PA, I come in and handle all of those tedious day to day taks so my clients can focus on what they love.  I help online entrepreneurs work smarter not harder by taking care of the day to day back end stuff so they can focus more on their clients and vision.

Who is your ideal client?
What problem are you solving for them?
